|  |  |  | | Join our team! |  | | POSITION | DESCRIPTION | REQUIREMENTS | | Cafeteria | Food prep and service, cash and customer service, general duties, bartender and closing duties, maintenance. | Neat in appearance, responsible, dynamic, loyal, honest. Experience in customer service and food prep/service is an asset. Training provided. | | Office/Front Desk | Office includes taking phone calls for reservations, entering data into the reservation system and assisting on the front desk as required.
Front Desk includes daily ticket sales, customer service, season pass sales, registration, retail, inputting and phones. | Neat in appearance, responsible, dynamic, loyal, honest. Experience in customer service or related field is an asset. Training provided. | | Rental Shop/Ski Tech | Tuning equipment, setting bindings and other general rental shop duties. | Neat in appearance, responsible, dynamic, loyal, honest. Training provided. | | Ski Lift Operator | Main Purpose: To provide all skiers and snowboarders with a safe, personalized mountain experience while waiting, loading, riding and unloading the lift.
Job Summary: Job will be performed in settings both inside and outside under winter conditions. The job will include, but not be limited to; lift operations; maintaining ramps and mazes; unloading areas; performing pre-operational checks and tests; filling out in full all required reports; reporting any problems as they may occur and providing any other related or unrelated duties that may be assigned by area management. | Must be physically able to perform manual labour as required by the job. Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required. Must be a minimum of 16 years of age. Must present a neat and clean appearance. Must be able to deal with people in a competent, pleasant, helpful manner. | | Snow School Instructor | We are currently seeking Ski and Snowboard Instructors for the upcoming 09/10 season. Full or part time positions available. Whether you are a seasoned Pro with lots of experience, a new Pro with great aspirations or an intermediate level skier or snowboarder interested in training to become an instructor; we have a variety of jobs available.
Duties include but are not limited to; teaching groups lessons, private lessons, large school groups, kids programs and rental shop assistance. | Applicants must be willing to work together as a team, must have a great attitude, and must be ready for a great season.
Applicants must possess or be willing to obtain a minimum of a level 1 CSIA, CASI or CSCF certification.
Mount Pakenham’s Level 1 Evaluators are available to train potential instructors in order to help them reach standards.
